One session a week, on Wednesday with Yoda, and that’s it, at least until I can wake up the morning after not feeling like I pitched seven innings with a rotator cuff injury. In the meantime, I’m heading back into the gym to do what Mark Verstegen calls “prehab,” which are elements of his training programs that are specifically designed to strengthen support muscles, thereby reducing your susceptibility to injury.
Looking forward to this Wednesday, though. A good friend of Yoda’s (and former Oahu resident) is in town from Germany, and his first session in two years or so was Saturday evening. Haven’t decided on a nickname for him yet. Hmm.
I met them out at Kewalo’s, which is still catching this off-season swell we’re seeing, along with most of the rest of the south shore. Pretty good waves for off-season according to everyone I’ve talked to. And as a bonus, I even managed to keep my contacts.
